Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 1st...
... it's redvinegar's CD RELEASE PARTY!!!
This January, redvinegar went into a studio in an old cathedral in
Duluth, MN and recorded a full-length, self-produced, 100% for-real
record. We spent over 10 full days and hundreds of man-hours in the
studio recording, mixing, and mastering on everything from vintage
tube-amplified microphones to 2-inch wide analog tape to the newest in
digital production systems. We held ourselves to an insane release
schedule, survived everything from 30-below-zero temperatures,
snowstorms, and driving back to Chicago in the middle of the night --
all just to make this record!
The CD is done -- 10 original redvinegar tunes like you've never heard
them (really)! A 20-page full-color booklet featuring photos by Ake
Larson, Phil Kuhl, and Peter Peterson, and paintings by gifted artist
and local musician Tim Lowly... I am not making this up -- it's all
off to the printers!
We are incredibly happy with how it has turned out and can't wait for
you to hear it for yourself. And here is your chance -- because our CD
release party is coming up!
Mark your calendars:
May 1st, Wrigleyville Goose Island
3535 N. Clark St. in Chicago. 9:00 PM.
(21 and over)
The admission price will include a shrinkwrapped copy of the new CD and
a performance by redvinegar with some special musical guests. What's
more is that your first beer or soda is on us! The cover will be $15
at the door, or $13 for advance ticket sales online at this address:
http://www.redvinegar.net/advance.html
We'll also have some special guests there -- Slow Learners (Erik
Anderson and Peter Carlson) have been working on their own record in
California, and are flying out to help celebrate! We'll be sharing the
stage, playing redvinegar and Slow Learners songs... and a few other
surprises.
We want to pack out the place, and we want to see you and personally
say thanks for supporting us and coming out to hear our music... as
corny as it sounds, we really couldn't have done it without you. This
will also be our last big show in Chicago for possibly the rest of the
summer, so it will be your last chance for quite some time to see us.
I really can't stress enough how happy we are with the record and how
excited we are for you to hear it. Please come out to the show and
seeing what it is we've been doing for the last several months.
Oh yeah -- forward this email to anyone you think might be interested
in coming -- and bring your friends with... it's gonna be a great
night!
Thank you all for everything!
redvinegar
PS: Stay tuned for some photos, videos, and a sample mp3 from the
record online...
