Happy New Year to redvinegar fans everywhere!

2004 sounds like such a futuristic date to me... like, why aren't we
zooming around in rocket packs? Because instead, science has spent all
it's energy creating the perfect rock band...

redvinegar!

Hah. But seriously folks, welcome to 2004.

Before I get into our belated Christmas Letter, let me make a quick
annoucement:

redvinegar is playing at the Beat Kitchen next Thursday, Jan. 22nd
with Smittyvision and Eleven Dollar Life. The show is $6 and starts at
9:00. Please come out and see us -- the Beat Kitchen is a great room
with awesome, creative, and healthy food that belongs more in a
restaurant than in a "venue." Most of you know Smitty and
Smittyvision, and they always play a great show, and the drummer from
Eleven Dollar Life is a former NPU student. Basically, it's going to
be a great show, it's an awesome place to play, and an awesome place
to inagurate 2004. Please come see us! The Beat Kitchen is at 2100 W.
Belmont between Damen and Western.

I know that the band wants to issue a heartfelt thanks to each one of
you who came out to see us, supported us, read these emails, and
played drums for us in 2003... it was really an incredible year and
the success and momentum from 2003 is what's allowed us to begin the
process of making a "real" record.

We just got back from Duluth, MN, where we spent 8 days preparing for
and recording our first studio album at the Sacred Heart Studio.
Sacred Heart was built in 1894 and is an incredible old church that is
now a performance space and recording studio. It would be hard to
describe what a great experience making the record was. Ake Larson was
there to take pictures, so soon we'll have images and video from the
week available online, and we're shooting for a May 1st release date.

My diary from the process is available here:

We also have CDs available right now which are a collection of our
best live performances from 2003 in a cool-looking slimline CD case
with full color artwork. We wanted to put this together for all the
people who have been asking for a CD for so long. They'll be selling
for $5 and all the profits go back into the fund for our studio
record. And we still have lots of T-shirts available.

Thanks again to all of you -- we couldn't be making this music without
your support and encouragement.

See you next Thursday!

Peter
