Dave,
First off, I think you're absolutely right about the journey/destination thing
:-)... The pocket linux guide was very usefull to me because it didn't only
teach me HOW to make the floppy system but because it also told me WHY the
different steps in the process were taken. This is something I miss in a lot
of other tutorials and guides (on various topics) on the web. Because of
this I even managed to adapt the floppies and I'm now using them for
automatic partitioning and testing of harddisks.
Your new project sounds like an excellent idea to me. I wish I could be of
some help but I'm afraid I don't know enough about these things (yet...) If
you need (beta-)testers though, I'll be glad to help ! (See if your new
guide is monkey-proof enough, mhehe !)
